R. Clayton McWhorter
Mr. McWhorter's vision for the future of healthcare and passion to see our nation's medication crisis addressed led to PharmMD's creation. Clayton McWhorter founded and serves as Chairman of Clayton Associates, LLC, a venture capital company. In 1996, he created LifeTrust America, an assisted living and senior services company, and served as its Chairman until its sale in November 2004. Mr. McWhorter served on the Board of Directors of Columbia/HCA from April 1995 until May 2000 and served as its Chairman from April 1995 to May 1996. He served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of HealthTrust from 1987 to April 1995. He joined Hospital Corporation America as administrator of Palmyra Park Hospital in Albany, Georgia, in 1970 and served as President and Chief Operating Officer of HCA from 1985 until September 1987.
Jeff Goodman

Jeff Goodman is a Partner at The Riverside Company, the largest and oldest global private equity firm investing in companies with enterprise values of under $200 million. Prior to joining Riverside, Jeff was a Corporate Vice President at Intuit and President of Intuit Distribution Management Solutions, an enterprise software provider serving electrical, plumbing and industrial distribution. Prior to that, Jeff held several executive level positions at General Electric and Saint-Gobain. Jeff holds two U.S. patents for electro-mechanical devices and is a trained Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Brian Sauer
The Riverside Company
Brian Sauer is a Vice President at the Riverside Company, where he is a Transactor within Riverside’s Micro-Cap Fund. Brian focuses on raising capital and performing diligence on investment opportunities and partnering with Boards and management teams to help achieve additional growth. Prior to Riverside, Brian worked in investment banking for KeyBanc Capital Markets where he was focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings. At Riverside, Brian is on the board of four companies in addition to PharmMD; Adventures in Advertising, OnCourse Learning, PROFITsystems and Junior Golf Corporation.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University and Minor in History, where he graduated magna cum laude. Brian is an Eagle Scout and has an interest in skiing and other outdoor sports. Brian resides in Santa Monica, CA.
Samuel W. Bartholomew, III

As CEO and Co-founder, Mr. Bartholomew has led the development of PharmMD’s services and products with a team of clinical and IT experts. Mr. Bartholomew brings to this position a depth of expertise in healthcare. Prior to forming PharmMD, Mr. Bartholomew served as Vice President of Business Development for Integration Management, Inc. He also served as managing partner of Integration Ventures, LLC, a joint venture partner of Integration Management that worked to leverage healthcare data expertise and technology to improve employer healthcare costs and managed care company profitability. While managing strategic initiatives of IMI, Mr. Bartholomew also incubated a health advocacy company and a telemedicine physician access start-up. Mr. Bartholomew spent the four years with HCA in their Executive Development program where he helped build one of HCA’s newest facilities and then helped manage HCA’s oldest facility before leaving the company.

Jim Lackey
Chairman of the Board of Passport Health
James V. (Jim) Lackey, Jr. is chairman of the board for Passport Health Communications, Inc. In April of 2009 he named his successor as Chief Executive Office. Lackey has been with the company since its beginning in October 1996.
Prior to joining Passport, Lackey spent four years with the nation’s largest worker’s compensation PPO, FOCUS Healthcare Management, as executive vice president and later as president. Before that he was vice president of administration and one of the founding officers of Coventry Corporation and assistant vice president of administration for HealthAmerica Corporation. Lackey’s diverse experience also includes hospital administration and health care consulting with Ernst & Young, LLP.
Lackey holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma Baptist University and serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Health Care Council. Among his notable industry accolades are three “Healthcare 100” awards from the Nashville Business Journal. He and his wife of 33 years have three sons, two daughters-in-law, a grandson and two granddaughters. He enjoys camping, motorcycles, cars and is a private pilot.
Mike Kane

- Founder and principal of Kestrel Asset Management, a Philadelphia-area investment firm which operates three limited partnership investment funds, including one dedicated to private equity companies.
- Served as Vice-President of Kane Is Able, Inc., a third-generation family-owned logistics company based in Scranton, PA. His responsibilities included strategic planning, financial management, and corporate governance.
- Member of the Leadership Council of PathNorth, a national CEO group, the Business Leaders Network, a Philadelphia CEO group, and the Institute for Private Investors, where he is a member of the Advisory Faculty.
